COMING EVENTS

DEDICATION The dedication of our Easter house building project is set for Saturday, August 4th.  Please join us for a short dedication service at Yoli's home.   We will meet at church and leave for Yoli's home at 9:30am.

VESPERS & BARBECUE  (August 5th at 6 p.m.)  Bring your own meat to cook.  All those whose surname begins with A-L, please bring a salad; M-Z please bring a desert. 

 

ELDERS' UPDATE

YOUTH SEARCH We are getting very positive responses in checking references of the candidate for our youth position.  Please pray for wisdom as we continue this very important work.  Please pray that God will help us in this decision.

 

FAMILY MINISTRIES

THE NURSERY is available for babies and small children (0-3), upstairs


CHILDREN'S CHURCH is held in the Anderson Room at both services.  Children ages 4-10 go to their class at the greeting time.

WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

WEEKLY BIBLE STUDIES:

bulletTwo of the four ladies' Bible studies are on summer break--the midmorning Wednesday and the Wednesday afternoon studies.  The early morning Wednesday Bible study continues to meet, taught by Guisela Skaggs and is studying "Integrity," one of the Fisherman Bible study series.
bulletThe Thursday morning Bible Study will study the "Integrity" Bible study, led by Shirley Smith.  June 28 through August 23.
bulletOn August 22 and 23, the regular Bible study schedule will begin with the resumption of the Wednesday med-morning and Wednesday afternoon Bible studies.
bulletIn the fall, the Wednesday and Thursday mid-morning Bible studies will be doing a study on the book of Luke, also led by Shirley Smith.


CHURCH LIFE

As You're Doing spring housecleaning or packing for a move, please consider donating your excess clothes and household goods for a Union Church rummage sale.  We receive donations year-round, and proceeds support many benevolence projects.

THE GUATEMALAN POST check out last week's copy of The Guatemalan Post.  There is a full page spread on our Women's Ministries' Kitchen Fiesta Cookbook.  These books are available in the church office.  Call Christi 331-6904 or stop by for a copy and a cup of coffee.  If you already have a copy, stop by for coffee anyway.
